I’m sorry, but seeing how Goh treated Scorbunny from wanting get Mew as a starter and from trying to learn a new move really made me hate the guy after that. I know he’s gotten better by the time it evolved into Cinderace, but I still can’t forget what he did then because it showed how little he actually cared for his pokemon and instead he just wanted to catch them all for the sake of it. It was gratifying when Raboot gave Goh the cold shoulder because he knew that Goh had to earn his respect back.

It always irritates me every time I watch sinnoh that Cynthia never gave Paul a dressing down on the way he treats his Pokémon. She literally saw Paul abusing Chimchar and just let it go and just said Ash and Paul had different training types!

I don’t think it was awful as he didn’t just sweep Alain he put up a fight. I think people say that because they don’t understand or didn’t watch the start of journeys where it was explained Leon travelled all over the world like ash. So it goes without saying that Leon would be stronger than him. Only reason ash lost was in the kalos league was because the black and writers was re hired for it. Originally he was meant to win.
